Dr. Rajan completed her Bachelor of Science Honours in Life Sciences at Queen’s University, graduating with honours and distinction. She subsequently went onto medical school at the University of Toronto graduating with an Honours standing. She continued her training in Dermatology at the University of British Columbia. In addition to her Canadian training, she sought out additional dermatology education, on scholarship, at the University of California in Los Angeles, and at the world-renowned St. John’s Institute of Dermatology in London, England. She was awarded her fellowship in Dermatology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in June 2001 and also was awarded her Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology in September of 2001.
Dr. Rajan initially began practicing in the Vancouver area in 2001, and has been practicing in the Toronto area since 2002. Active in teaching and research, she has been teaching Dermatology and Family Medicine residents from the University of Toronto and other Universities from across Canada at her office. She has presented nationally and internationally at multiple medical conferences. She has published in peer reviewed journals in Dermatology, Family Medicine and online.
She is a member of The Canadian Medical Association, Ontario Medical Association, Canadian Dermatology Association, American Dermatology Association, Toronto Western Hospital Journal Club and Toronto Dermatologic Society.
Dr. Rajan’s expertise in dermatology has led her to be quoted in magazines including Today’s Parent and Canadian Health. She is frequently an invited guest speaker at various continuing medical education events for her colleagues both in general medical practice and dermatology.
