DR. ADAM HANDLER M.D CCFP PGDIP (DERM) Family Physician (Focused Practice Dermatology)
Dr. Handler graduated from Queen’s Medical School in 2017. He then attended the University of Toronto for his family medicine residency training. After his training, he proceeded with a post-graduate diploma in practical dermatology from Cardiff University (UK). He has since completed his CPSO change of scope to GP focused practice Dermatology under the supervision of dermatologists and plastic surgeons. He also has his OHIP and Ministry of Health Focused Practice Designation for Dermatology. His areas of focus include acne, rosacea, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, localized psoriasis, precancerous lesions (AKs) and non-melanoma skin cancers (BCC, SCC), & skin cancer surveillance, among others. He is trained in filler and facial neuromodulator (e.g. Botox), as well as Botox for Hyperhidrosis (increased sweating). He also treats benign skin tags, moles and other benign lesions.
Dr. Handler currently works part-time in North Bay and part-time in the Toronto/GTA in Dermatology as well as Plastic Surgery Assist. Dr. Handler has worked as a special consultant to the NHL during the covid-19 pandemic. He also has special interest in camp medicine, where he has published articles and continues to work when able.
