Fraxel laser resurfacing is an exciting new procedure provided by Dr Cohen. This laser treats fine lines ,wrinkles, acne scars, large pores, pigmentation (melasma) and other signs of skin aging. Fraxel laser produces tiny columns in the skin called microthermal treatment zones. This zone causes wound healing and repair in the skin which uses the body's natural healing process to create new healthy tighter tissue to replace skin imperfections. This treatment can be done on the face, neck, chest and hands.

After the treatment your skin will experience a mild sunburn sensation for 1-2 hours. Skin may have a pinkish tone for 5-7 days. Skin will bronze for 3-14 days then some flaking may occur as your skin replaces dead tissue. Sunscreen use is mandatory for the next few months to maintain optimal results. Over the following weeks the body will repair the dermis and produce beneficial changes that continue to improve over the next few months. Patients require 3-5 treatments depending on their degree of sun damage or scarring.
