Dr. Cohen and Dr. Rajan perform Botox injections at the Clinic. Dr. Cohen is a leading Botox injector, often teaching his techniques to new physicians. This is an injectable treatment derived from a purified protein. It is injected into a muscle that creates a wrinkle and relaxes it. These injections treat crow’s feet, frown lines, forehead lines, neck lines and upper lip lines. The results last 3-4 months. The procedure takes 15 minutes to perform and the patient can return immediately to regular activities. Dr Cohen has demonstrated Botox injections on Canada AM, CBC news and Beauty by Design.

Different types of chemical peels are offered including glyclic, amino acid peels, clay, TCA and Kojic acid. Some peels are used to smooth the skin, some are for removing sun spots or acne scars. Peels can smoothen the skin, prevent fine lines, minimize pore size, and improve the radiance of the skin. They can be used to treat adult acne. The TCA peel, a deeper peel is used to remove sun spots and causes peeling of the skin for 4 or 5 days.

With most peel the patient can return back to regular activities immediately.

Broken blood vessels are due to excess sun exposure, genetics, and rosacea. These spots can be treated by either the Intense Pulse Light laser or the Yag laser. Dr. Cohen and Dr. Rajan have access to both lasers and can tailor a treatment program best suited to your skin. Most patients experience little or no downtime.

Various products are used for lip augmentation. Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm and the newest filler Evolence. Dr. Cohen was one of the first dermatologists in Canada to use the newest filler Evolence, Revanesse and Teosyal. Dr. Cohen has demonstrated lip augmentation on Canada AM, and CFTO news. Patient can expect swelling for a day or two after treatment and bruising for up to five days.

Dr. Cohen has tailored his skin care procedures to give men optimal results. Men’s skin has properties and our treatments are tailored to its special properties. Microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser treatments, Levulan and Botox are all specifically designed to meet men’s needs. We also sell many products to help with men’s skin problems like oily skin, large pores, an excess of broken blood vessels, and sun damage.

Microdermabrasion is used to improve skin texture, tone and to help prevent fine lines. Skin gains a healthy glow and a more youthful appearance. After the procedure the patient will get an AFA peel. AFA’s are amino acids applied to the skin that act as antioxidants to help with exfoliation and help the skin retain moisture. Aluminum oxide crystals are used to exfoliate and polish the skin. Treatments are performed in a series usually monthly. This has been demonstrated by Dr Cohen on Canada AM and Entertainment Tonight Canada.

Dr. Cohen and Dr. Rajan perform mole removal in the office. Moles may be removed by various techniques including excision, shave removal and some lesions may be removed with liquid nitrogen. Wounds usually take 2 weeks to heal. Patient can resume regular activities immediately.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is a safe and natural technique for visible improvement of texture, luminescence of your skin, reduction of wrinkles and fine lines. It is an ideal supplement to laser and chemical peel treatments.
